What: The California Coalition for Black Birth Justice is bringing its mission of "Birth Justice and Joy" to Los Angeles for an exclusive evening event dedicated to advancing birth justice across the state. This event will offer a unique opportunity for birth justice leaders, advocates, and partners to connect, collaborate, and celebrate in a vibrant atmosphere featuring soul food, music, mocktails, and networking.

Why: The Coalition is committed to unifying and strengthening the Black birth justice movement in California. This event will spotlight the Coalition's agenda, "Unifying the Vision for Systemic Change," and explore actionable solutions to address racial inequities in perinatal outcomes for Black birthing families. Attendees will learn about the Coalition's efforts to coordinate and accelerate birth justice strategies statewide.
Who Should Attend: This event is by invitation only and is geared towards birth justice leaders, advocates, and partners who are passionate about advancing systemic change and improving perinatal outcomes for Black families in California.
The event will host many distinguished guests, including representatives from key organizations shaping California's future. Among them are LaQuisha Bryant from the office of Assemblymember Tina McKinnor (CA Assembly District 61), Tara Ficek from First 5 LA, Crystal Crawford of the Weingart Foundation, Nomsa Khalfani from Essential Access Health, and Tara Westman representing The California Endowment. Their presence underscores the significant impact and broad support our initiative has garnered in advancing equity and justice across the state.
